Waiting For The Gift

This photograph is so sickly sweet and disgusting. I love it.

I have been lent a digital camera by a family member, and I'm in the process of grappling with all the settings. I am quite deliberately banning myself from Photoshop for a while. I feel more attentive to my surroundings - and I'm hoping this will improve my skills at writing as much as my skills at taking pictures. Most importantly: I'm having fun.

One of the presents my girlfriend got me for my birthday was a disposable point-and-click camera; a Lomolitos Blue Flash to be precise. It's turned out to be one of the most thoughtful and rewarding of presents, as it transpires that not only does it produce beautifully textured photographs and have an extremely fun blue filter, but due to the design of the camera it's actually reusable! I am so in love with this thing.
